The latest fad for fashionistas across Europe is timesharing, no not villas in the South of France, or private jets but Fashion, yes clothes shoes and bags. The credit Crunch is making it harder for people to be able to afford the luxuries they once used to. They are also students  who prefer their Prada to their Primark so the solution is to split to a pair of Louboutins or the latest Burberry bag. I doubt this trend will catch on in the Middle East. Firstly the Credit Crunch hasn’t really affected peoples’ shopping habits. Designers bags and shoes still sell out before they even hit the shop floor.  Secondly Designers Boutiques in Dubai speaks of 2 distinct patterns with the local shopping habits. Women either come in a group and will all buy the same bag in the same colour, and in fact will carry it at the same time. Fashion Solidarity! Or you have the odd customer who will buy up the whole stock of said bag ( yes all 3 pieces!!) to avoid other Fashion hungry women getting their hands on it. Ah the measures we take for individuality!
